Take a close look
at the trim around your doors and windows. Does it highlight them
and make them look finished, or is it just there? What about your
baseboards. And what about the crown molding - do you even have any?
Most houses have "contractor grade" 2.25" trim around doors
and windows, and 3" baseboards. This does nothing to add value
and personality to your home. It just covers the cracks.
You can
create or enhance any style with moldings and trim. Create an Art Deco
effect with angles and repetition or cove, or neoclassical with dental molding,
or Victorian with rosettes and florals. The variety is only limited by
